Frequently asked questions about the courses and the exams

Every remote pilot and every observer who will be assigned to an Earth2 Recon operation completes the Operations Manual and Procedures Library certification; until its exam is passed the Chief Remote Pilot cannot assign you in either role. Other courses (type training, night VLOS, operations near people, observer) apply to the people and operations they cover.
The Operations Manual v1.2 and the Procedures Library v1.3, clause by clause: manuals and document control, operating standards, operating and maintaining the RPAS, training, planning, flying, specialised operations, risk assessment, emergencies and reporting, the DJI Mavic 4 Pro section, and a charts and airspace module for the Sydney area.
Three steps. Study the modules: topics with notes, figures and chart images (47 topics in the certification course). Practice questions: a few per topic with feedback after each answer. The exam: every question in the course's bank, one at a time, scored only at the end.
100 percent. Every question must be answered correctly. The questions test the manuals as written, and the clause is cited under every practice answer, so there is nothing in the exam you cannot find in the notes.
Yes. You can move between questions freely and change any answer until you press Submit for scoring. A grid under the question shows which are answered. Nothing is scored or revealed until you submit.
The result shows your score and the topics to revisit, with how many questions you missed in each. The answers are not shown. Re-read those topics, use the practice questions, then re-sit. Every sitting is recorded with its number, date and score.
Yes. Each answer is saved as you go, so you can close the page and resume later. While a sitting is open the study pages are closed; submit the exam before returning to the notes.
Not by itself. Whether a course must be repeated, and how often, is a decision for the Chief Remote Pilot. A new revision of a manual may re-open the course so that the changes are read and tested.
As a training record under section 3.2 of the Operations Manual, retained for seven years, with the manual versions the exam was taken against. The status page shows whether you are currently eligible for assignment.
In a few places they do, and the notes say so with a "Manual note" that gives both wordings and which one the Chief Remote Pilot applies. Those differences are on the amendment list for the next manual revision.
